On 19 May, a LocalLLaMA user began assembling a benchmark for agentic harnesses and asked for evaluation advice and test suggestions. By 17 October, another user wanted a “jevlikes” benchmark covering what jev’s official benchmarks test, including calibration, and invited others to suggest one or help build it.
The requests are part of a wider, visibly frustrated debate over useful evaluation. LocalLLaMA users have asked why LLMs can sound correct while failing to do anything, how datasets should change, which tests can cut through “benchmaxxed” coding and agentic scores, why open-source models trail on ARC-AGI, and how K2.6 figures compare on a third-party coding benchmark.
MachineLearning contributors have separately discussed measuring reply quality in SDR generation and described a political benchmark where KIMI K2 could not answer questions about Taiwan while GPT-5.3 refused 100% of questions when offered an opt-out [P]. The SDR discussion was marked [D]. OpenAI has discussed a new method for testing AI comprehensiveness. Singularity pointed to Meta AI’s TRIBE v2, a model capable of predicting brain responses to various conditions.
These remain proposals and scattered evaluation examples. The signals identify no completed agentic-harness or jevlikes benchmark.
Assuming the claims are factual, impact is 10%. Benchmark builders and people comparing coding or agentic systems gain two proposed evaluation targets: agentic harness performance and calibration against jev’s official tests. Little changes until someone publishes the tests, datasets, scoring method, and results. For now, volunteers are coordinating the work through forum posts, a familiar form of research coordination.
Watch for a public benchmark, documented methodology, test suite, calibration criteria, or results across multiple models. Independent runs, especially on third-party coding and agentic evaluations, would show whether either proposal produces useful evidence or another set of numbers to argue over.
