TechCrunch AI said exhibitors could reach more than 10,000 tech leaders. Both outlets repeatedly issued “final, final, final” calls for Side Events. TechCrunch AI also promoted four days to save close to $500 on passes.

By September 17, TechCrunch had published the Side Events schedule, naming NMI, Backblaze, PeakXV Partners, Augment, and others as hosts. Its coverage later moved from Day 1 to the last day of TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. There is only so much journalism available in a countdown clock.
